Screenprinting

An unhurried, hands-on introduction to ways of bringing pattern, image, and texture to your pottery. We’ll explore silk screen printing, underglaze painting, and oxide washes, with plenty of ideas for layering colour and design.

Local potter Graham Stevens will be leading two workshops based on handle-making. Wed 15 October features a range of making and attaching handles. A follow-up practical workshop will give you a chance to practice under supervision from Graham and Alison.

Lucy Vanstone - Visiting Ceramicist

Lucy Vanstone  is a ceramic artist with 24 years as a full-time potter in Brunswick Heads, Australia. Originally from the UK, she creates work ranging from finely decorated porcelain to rustic raku. For over two decades, Lucy has taught in her own studio, Wheel of Life, guiding both beginners and experienced makers. This year she is on a sabbatical in the UK and Europe, connecting with other makers, sharing skills, and creating new work. Her approach to clay is rooted in a love of nature and often includes gentle, reflective themes.
